BY AIR – Bhuj is connected by air, with 2 direct flights from Mumbai only. The two aircraft carriers are Kingfisher Airlines & Jet Airways. The airport is situated 3½ km north of the city limits and plenty of taxi’s are available to reach the temple.
Please note: Tickets for the domestic flights are rapidly being booked particularly around the key dates of the events. We strongly advise those that have not made any travel arrangements, to do so, as soon as possible.
BY RAIL - Bhuj railway station is situated 1km north of the city. A number of trains reach Bhuj from Mumbai, Gandhidham and other parts of Gujarat.
BY ROAD - One can also travel on state roadways buses as well as private buses. There is good bus service from Ahmedabad (7-hour trip) including private “sleepers” and from other towns in Gujarat and Rajasthan. There are also regular buses to and from the number of villages which surround Bhuj.
Lastly, shared taxis, hired cars and rickshaws are a plenty, which can be taken by visitors in and around Bhuj
Many of the devotees globally have historically emigrated from Kutch and as a result, have families/relatives still present. Bhuj Temple expects those with families and property in the number of villages in and around Bhuj to reside there. That said, for those who do not, there are a number of low-,mid-budget hotels and a few top-end hotels in Bhuj. Most of these are situated in and around the New Station Road.
In addition, schools, boarding’s, gurukuls and samajvadi will be used as extra accomodation facilities. If required, marquees will be set up in open areas to accommodate.
With regards to the provision of food and water, a marquee will be set up whereby up to 600 people can eat in one go. Water supplies and snack stalls will be available all over the celebration site.
